One of my favorite days of the year is my mom's birthday:
September 11.
This is the first one without her. Mom left us on March
22, 2004. She would have been 88 today.
I celebrate this September 11 and every one hereafter as
a day of peace, love and hope:
Peace with the past…
Love of the present…
Hope for the future.
I've been asking a question since Mom left us on March 22:
“What am I willing to give to make the world a better place?”

With so much of the year filled with war, we deserve at
least one day for peace.
What better day to live peacefully than on 9/11?
Mom would like it if I celebrate her birthday as a day of
peace. For me, it's:
“9/11 World Peace Day!”
Maybe you would like to join me.
You can celebrate “9/11 World Peace Day” by simply living
peacefully. We don't need large demonstrations, picket lines
or picket signs, online chain letters or any other massive
missives. We just need to be peaceful.
It's simply one day to be at peace with yourself, and at
peace with others.
I know we can't wave a magic wand and poof, wish a peaceful
world into existence. But in truth, billions of people want
to live peacefully. Wouldn't it be nice to simply be peaceful
for a day? It just might catch on.
In the memory of Mom, and as a tribute to all the people
who we lost on this day and every day, I celebrate this 9/11
as a day of peace. Feel free to join me if you like. It's
